TF96 are economical electromechanical motor protection devices for currents up to 96 A. In the event of overload, they provide reliable thermal protection for the connected motors. TF96 are typically mounted on contactors AF80 to AF96 but can also be installed separately on a DIN rail. When the motor current set on the current scale is exceeded, the relays trigger via bimetallic elements, switching the state of the two auxiliary contacts 1S/1Ö. This deactivates a preceding contactor. The relays allow for manual or automatic reset, feature a test and stop function, and include a triggered indicator. The current scale of the devices is sealable. Accessories such as reset buttons and auxiliary contacts complete the range. TF96 have a tripping class of 10, are temperature compensated, sensitive to phase failure, and have an ATEX certification.
