Akasa offers the ideal solution with this expansion card to provide a system with additional fast USB 3.1 ports. The expansion card can be used in any system with a free PCIe 2.0 or PCIe 3.0 x4 slot, but it also works in all PCIe x4, x8, and x16 slots.

The card features two external USB 3.1 Type-C ports and three additional Type-A ports, allowing for the connection of external USB devices with particularly high bandwidth. Additionally, the ports support Fast Charging, with the required power supplied via a SATA connection.

The USB ports are capable of maximum speeds of 10 Gbit/s, making them twice as fast as USB 3.0 ports. Thanks to the use of the PCI-Express interface, these very high data rates pose no problem for the card and can be fully utilized. Of course, the new standard is fully backward compatible with existing devices.
