The power supply unit is the main source of energy for the PC and ensures that all the elements installed in it are supplied with power. A distinction is made between the energy efficiency and the wattage of the power supply units. Also the form factor (e.g. ATX) and the modular cable management are important criteria which have to be considered when purchasing. When purchasing a power supply, you should pay attention to the power consumption of the various components, so that the power supply is then also able to supply all parts installed in the PC with sufficient power. It is also best to make sure you have enough connections for your graphics card (8-pin and 6-pin) and your processor (4-pin, 8-pin).
