The Akasa aluminum Plato case has been specifically updated for 8th generation Intel NUCs. Like other fanless NUC chassis from the previous generation, the Plato chassis passively cools the CPU without the need for fans. This makes it possible to cool the 8th generation NUC in complete silence. The Plato not only provides noiseless cooling for the respective CPU but can also accommodate a single 2.5-inch hard drive or SSD. If you choose a hard drive instead of an SSD, the hard drive will produce operational noise. The case features two USB 3.0 ports and supports IR and dual microphones on the front of the case. On the back, there are slots available to utilize the full range of connections that the 8th generation NUC offers, along with a Kensington lock.
