The AE 2990 AFS handheld radio is a multi-standard CB handheld device that can be switched to all standards and operating modes available in Europe. The device can be used as a portable unit with batteries, as a vehicle device, or as a fixed station with mobile or base antennas. With the Hi/Low power switch, you can adjust the output power - in low power mode, battery life is significantly extended. Hi/Low power is switchable or selectable to prolong battery life, Channel 9/19 Lock: The lock function allows all buttons to be locked. SQ setting: adjusts the squelch setting (stored on the bar graph). RF Gain: optimizes the incoming signal. Complies with European standards EN 300 433-2 and EN 300 135-2. Can be converted for licensed amateur radio operators on amateur radio frequencies.
