Product details

Albrecht AE 6690 - The new Albrecht generation: We are offering a 3-year warranty on the AE 6690 CB radio for the first time. With state-of-the-art technology (SMD), microprocessor control, and top-notch craftsmanship, this CB radio is a durable and reliable partner.

  • Multi-standard CB mobile radio
  • State-of-the-art microprocessor technology (SMD)
  • 48 CTCSS combinations
  • Flash EEPROM memory
  • Automatic squelch ASQ

The AE 6690 features 48 CTCSS combinations for setting up "private channels" in the FM range - ensuring uninterrupted radio contacts. CTCSS, also known as tone squelch or pilot tone, is an innovative function in CB radio. The tone squelch replaces the conventional noise filter; instead, an inaudible tone is transmitted with each transmission. This tone is evaluated by the receiving station. It is important that both the transmitter and receiver have the same CTCSS tone set. The speaker will only activate when the tone signal is present. This allows for selective reception from individual stations or groups of radio operators who all use a specific CTCSS tone as a code. For example, friends can form a closed user group, hearing each other while not having to listen to foreign signals on the same channel. Additionally, this feature eliminates annoying FM noise. The device is capable of automatically decoding CTCSS codes with the best sensitivity and does not respond to interference or foreign signals without CTCSS. Theoretically, up to 48 different user groups per channel are possible. CTCSS codes are often referred to as subchannels or subchannels. This function is also ideal for CB gateways.
