Compatible with both versions ROCK PI 4A/4B. The new M.2 Extension Board v1.6 has been improved based on community feedback.

Improvements:

• Gold-plated connectors for stable data transmission. In the previous version, the connectors were simple FPC connectors. They could easily break, and the flat ribbon cable could be incorrectly mounted. The new connectors not only prevent the cable from being incorrectly plugged in, but they also have a locking mechanism to prevent connector displacement.
• Enhanced flat ribbon cables with gold-plated connectors mounted on both ends. The previous flat ribbon cable was always a topic of discussion. Users complained that the cable did not provide stable data transmission because the connection via the FPC connector was not precise or good enough. It was also mentioned that interference could occur because no ground lines were used for insulation within the flat ribbon cable. Both issues have been addressed. The cable now features gold-plated connectors on both sides, and the layout pays close attention to shielding between the high-speed data lines. An intelligent arrangement ensures that no data is lost. The connectors have additional springs to ensure a stable connection, even when the board is moved.

The only downside now is that the cable length can no longer be easily adjusted with replacement cables.

Redesigned interface card for the M.2 connector of the Rock Pi 4. The installation of the M.2 board while simultaneously using the EMMC has been improved.
