Product details

If you are experimenting with fleet monitoring, high-altitude scientific experiments, or a project that requires device localization, the MKR GPS Shield provides the necessary functionality and is ready to use right away.

The MKR GPS Shield is based on the u-blox SAM-M8Q GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) module. It is designed to be used on MKR-format boards but can also be connected to any board with a compatible port via a cable thanks to the Eslov connector.

This module is designed to work simultaneously with various positioning services. It receives and processes signals from GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo. It connects to Arduino boards either through a serial interface when used with headers and placed on an MKR board, or via an I2C interface and a special ESLOV cable included in the bundle.
