In collaboration with Polyscope Polymers from the Netherlands, Innofil3D has developed a special ABS filament for 3D printing. Polyscope offers solutions to enhance the performance of various engineering plastics, such as ABS, by adding styrene and maleic anhydride (SMA). The benefits include high heat resistance and excellent dimensional stability. Innofil3D has the capability to analyze material behavior during 3D printing and implement improvements. This has resulted in an optimized ABS filament for 3D printing: ABS Fusion+ with Polyscope XILOY.

The majority of ABS filaments available on the market are primarily general-purpose filaments. This negatively impacts the material properties and usability of these FDM filaments, preventing end users from fully leveraging the potential of 3D printing. With ABS Fusion+, Innofil3D offers an ABS filament optimized for 3D printing.

Innofil has particularly focused on the following improvements:

• Enhanced bed adhesion, allowing for direct printing on glass without the need for liquids or tape
• Low warping, which improves usability and repeatability, as well as adhesion to water-soluble PVA.
