Classic vacuum tube preamplifier and FET-style compressor with Midas transformers. This classic microphone/line tube preamplifier is based on the classic 6176 design. The FET-style compressor is modeled after the legendary 6176 compressor. Both the preamplifier and compressor can be operated independently or simultaneously.

It features premium selection 12AX7/ECC83S and 12AT7/6072 tubes, along with custom-built Midas input and output transformers. The rotary input selector switch provides a choice of input impedance for the mic and Hi-Z inputs. Input gain trim offers a ±10 dB range, and output level controls the input and output stage coloration.

The unit includes a 2-band shelving equalizer with switchable filters, as well as a switchable pad, polarity reverse, and 48 V phantom power. The compressor has an ultra-fast attack time ranging from 20 to 800 microseconds and an adjustable release time from 50 to 1100 milliseconds. A vintage-style meter displays both gain reduction and output.

It features transformer-balanced inputs and outputs on XLR connectors and comes in a rugged 2U rackmount chassis for durability in portable applications. The auto-ranging universal switch-mode power supply ensures compatibility with various power sources.
