Werner J. Egli, GermanProduct details
A few weeks ago, Tommy lost his father in a storm off the coast of England when his small fishing boat capsized. The pain of this loss drives him to sign on with the cargo ship "Emma Lou," on which his father had sailed as a young man. While traveling in the Mediterranean, the sailors witness a tragedy that befalls many refugees from Africa. However, the crew manages to rescue a girl named Nuria. On their way to the Suez Canal, the captain promises Nuria that he will take her back to England. In Africa, two young Somali men, Omar and Tarek, discover two Kalashnikovs and ammunition hidden away. They decide to join a group of rebels. To protect the residents of a small village and a group of refugees, they embark on their long march through the desert.
