The Blackstar St. James 50/EL34H Fawn is a tube amplifier with a classic appearance and modern user-friendliness. This particularly lightweight amplifier head weighs only 6 kilograms and delivers 50 watts of power, making it the lightest tube amplifier to ever achieve this output. The amplifier features two channels, each with its own tonal character. The first channel has the sound of an American amplifier from the 60s and is perfect for use with effect pedals. Channel 2 has more of a British classic tone with a raw crunch sound for rhythm playing and an additional boost for solos, which can be activated via a footswitch.

This amplifier operates in three modes: the standard mode provides 50 watts, the second mode offers 5 watts for lower volumes, and the third mode is the SAG mode, which gives the amplifier a vintage feel and sounds wonderful. There is also an inductive load that allows you to easily play through a PC, audio interface, or headphones. This feature can be used to switch between the two channels or to capture the boost on channel 2. Channel 2 also has its own gain and volume controls.

A great addition is the universal power supply, which allows the amplifier to be operated with a power grid of 90 to 264 volts at 50 to 60 Hz.
