The Boss BP-1W pedal delivers the beloved sound of the preamps from the Boss CE-1 Chorus and the RE-201 Space Echo. There is an additional mode with Clean Boost and minimal tonal coloration to choose from. This effect pedal from the Waza Craft series utilizes the analog preamp circuits of the CE-1 and RE-201 to provide the guitar sound with their characteristic tone.

The selector switch in the center chooses the desired preamp model: CE Chorus Ensemble, RE Space Echo, or NAT Clean Booster. The CE mode is known for its bright, bell-like preamp sound, while the RE mode shines with its characteristic warm preamp sound. The Gain control adjusts the saturation level of the signal, while the Level control adjusts the overall volume. Additionally, you can choose between a standard buffer or vintage input buffer, which affects the sound in terms of responsiveness and warmth.
