The valve 6407 is a piston valve. The solid coupling of the pilot valve and piston allows for the opening of the valve without differential pressure. As a piston valve, the type 6407 is particularly suitable for gas and steam as well as liquids with low operating temperatures below 0 °C. To enhance pressure and leakage safety, the plugs and core guide tube are welded together. Depending on the application, different sealing material combinations are available. The coils are encapsulated with chemically highly resistant epoxy. To reduce electrical power consumption during operation, coils with integrated "Kick and Drop" (KD) electronics in double coil technology are available. In conjunction with a connector according to DIN EN 175301-803 Form A, the valves meet the protection class IP65.
