The numerous integrated sensors, Grove and Jacdac connectors, 3 RGB LEDs, and 25 LEDs enable real-life applications, fostering interest in computer science and technology.

Due to its robustness and open-source design, the Calliope mini is ideal for use in educational settings, providing students from the 3rd grade onward with a creative approach to the digital world.

The Calliope mini 3 is currently programmed using MakeCode and MicroPython.
