The PMA-1700NE is an outstanding stereo integrated amplifier in a noble guise. It is elaborately constructed and shines with its high-quality technology. Its sound is dynamic and has very good detailing. It has a good selection of connections and is easy to operate. The main problem are the excellent competitors from our own company, especially the Marantz PM7000N.
For 2,000 euros, the PMA-1700NE is a highly competent, technically versatile integrated amplifier in the best Japanese tradition. The difference between this upmarket model and the less expensive series is impressive, both in terms of workmanship and sound.
