Product details

Years ago, I first heard about the tomb of Saint James, whose remains are said to lie in the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in northern Spain. For more than 1,000 years, devout Christians have come in larger or smaller groups from all over Europe and now from all over the world to this famous pilgrimage site. "When the dog is no longer around, I will set off," I had often said. With a dog, that isn't possible unless you camp or sleep outdoors. Ronda, my beloved shepherd dog, had now passed away. And then it suddenly came back to me. Why not now? I didn't have to consider anything or anyone. No dog anymore, no work, the children were grown and had long been on their own paths. Now it was my turn. Stephanie Turzer is doing what many only dream of; she is piloting on the Camino de Santiago.
