The Mavic 2 Zoom is primarily designed to be close to the action. It has a camera with optical zoom - which is also exceptional for drones.
The focal length range is 24 to 48 millimetres, plus a digital zoom of up to 96 millimetres. Nine photos can be automatically merged into a single 48-megapixel image. Due to its zoom capability, the Mavic 2 Zoom is also able to create an effect known as dolly zoom. ActiveTrack 2.0 is what DJI calls his improved motif tracking system. It includes not only the main camera, but also the two visual sensors for the calculation and is therefore able to create a 3D model, while the predecessor only knew two dimensions.
