In addition to an overvoltage protection (OVP) that safeguards connected devices from excessive voltage, there is now also a selectable overcurrent protection. This feature disconnects the output when a threshold, adjustable from 0 to 110% of the nominal current, is reached, protecting the device from overcurrent and potential damage in case of a fault.

The set values for current and voltage adjust mutually to ensure that the maximum power, calculated as P = U x I, is not exceeded. This allows for operation with either a high output voltage or a high output current. The device can be monitored and controlled remotely via the built-in USB interface. An optional license extension enables serial control of multiple devices. This makes the power supplies particularly suitable for educational institutions, industrial and system applications, workshops and development, laboratories, and testing institutes.
