It has the following utilization categories: AC-1 for non-inductive or slightly inductive loads and resistance furnaces; AC-3 for squirrel cage motors that allow starting and stopping during operation; AC-4 for squirrel cage motors with starting, counter-current braking, reversing, and creeping functions.

The connection technology includes screw terminals. It is also suitable for motors of efficiency class IE3, with IE3-capable devices marked accordingly.
