Suspension shock mount for broadcast alignment for RE20, RE27N/D, and RE320 microphones. The Electro-Voice 309A shock mount has been specifically designed for use with the dynamic microphones RE20 and RE27N/D. It provides nearly perfect shock isolation for the already internally shock-mounted RE20, RE320, or RE27N/D. For most applications, the 309A model can be directly attached to a microphone stand or a floor stand. A tripod adapter with a 5/8"-27 thread is included.

The 309A mounting design allows for quick installation of the RE20 or RE27N/D microphone without the need for tools. A double safety factor ensures that the microphone remains securely attached to the shock mount under all conditions. First, a bayonet lock prevents the microphone from falling out of the shock mount under its own weight. Additionally, a wing-type set screw can be tightened to secure the microphone once it is properly positioned.

Four molded neoprene shock mount cords suspend and support the microphone within a frame made of aluminum and steel, effectively isolating it from mechanical shocks and vibrations.
