Product details
The collection of English folk tales was published in 1898 by the Austrian writer Anna Kellner. Unlike the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm, which are often based on French models, England has developed its own unique fairy tale culture, often drawing on Celtic sources. The mythical figure of the wizard Merlin appears repeatedly in these tales. Additionally, the volume includes some of the most famous fairy tale motifs, such as "Jack the Giant Killer," "The Three Bears," and the story "Jack and the Beanstalk," in which a bean stalk grows overnight into the sky, allowing the hero to climb into a mysterious world.
