Product details

Wilhelm Hey, born in 1789 as the son of a pastor, studied theology and eventually worked as a pastor himself. In his role, he engaged in charitable causes, contrary to theological rationalism, such as a kind of daycare for the children of working mothers. One can only speculate that his child-friendly nature also led him to write "50 Fables for Children," which he published anonymously in 1833 and later earned him fame as a fable writer. In these child-friendly fables, many cute animals and mythical creatures entertain their young readers and stimulate their imagination. This is a carefully prepared reprint of the sixth edition from the second half of the 19th century, featuring over 60 illustrations.
