This paper addresses the topic of flexibilization of budgeting with rolling forecasts and relative goals. It examines the conditions under which budgeting should be flexibilized with these tools, how this flexibilization can be implemented, and what effects arise from it. The most important principle here is the appropriateness of flexibility needs, which focuses on a situationally differentiated use of the tools. This approach best accounts for the complexity of corporate reality.
