The Fujinon XF 18mm F1.4 R LM WR has a focal length of 18mm, offers a high speed of F1.4 and is suitable for a wide range of photographic situations. The XF 18mm F1.4 is also ideally suited for use in poor weather and adverse conditions. The metal housing is sealed in eight places. This protects the inside of the lens from splash water and dust and ensures that it is ready for use in temperatures as low as minus 10 degrees Celsius. A locking function makes it possible to secure the aperture ring in the auto position to prevent accidental adjustment when taking pictures.

Measured against Fujifilm mirrorless 40 MP, APS-C: The angle of view of the weather-sealed wide-angle lens for 950 euros corresponds to that of a 27 mm KB lens. The resolution in the centre is very high at all three measured apertures, the highest contrast is provided by aperture 2.8...
The fast wide-angle lens with weatherproof housing costs 1000 euros. In the centre of the image, we measured almost the same top value at three apertures. The contrast is also at a very high level throughout. The only thing to criticise is the drop in contrast at aperture 1.4. It is still ok, but visible - and stopping down solves this problem as well...
