Additionally, the HRM-Tri is equipped with an accelerometer that measures body movements to calculate three running efficiency parameters: the number of steps per minute, the up-and-down motion of your running stride indicating the vertical movement of your torso (measured in cm), and the ground contact time for each step while running (measured in milliseconds).
