Connection of additional switches is possible. Automatic or manual adjustment of the appropriate dimming principle for the load (phase control or phase cut-off). Operation is possible with or without a neutral wire connection. Generally, the dimmer can operate without a neutral wire connection; however, some LED and CFLi bulbs require a neutral wire connection to avoid flickering. When operating without a neutral wire, the minimum load for incandescent lamps, HV halogen, Tronic transformers, and wound transformers increases to 50 W. Electronic transformers and ballasts for LED bulbs can be operated using the dimming method specified by the manufacturer. If the ambient temperature exceeds 25 °C, the connected load must be reduced.
