Quick-release square plate. Gitzo's quick-release plates are available in three different profiles (A, B, and C). Each profile comes in various lengths (short or square, medium, and long) and with different features (graduated scale, anti-twist pin) and attachments (1/4 inch - 3/8 inch). In the new collection, Gitzo has combined some 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch mounting plates into a unique new code that includes two screws for both sizes. Having two screws available for each mounting size is ideal, especially with long plates when heavy equipment or long lenses are used. As a general rule, the largest possible attachment should always be used. Even when the smaller screw must be used, it always guarantees a high safety standard. In fact, all bolts and screws from Gitzo are made from high-quality steel.
