With four leg segments, the GT5543LS can be packed shorter and transported more easily than other Series 5 tripods. Gitzo's Systematic tripods can be modularly expanded. The base can accommodate either a flat standard plate, a leveling device, center columns, various video half-bowls for video fluid heads, or a system ball head.

The new Carbon Exact makes this tripod series even more stable. To prevent dirt and dust from entering the leg locks, the G-Lock Ultra has been equipped with a sealing ring. With a quarter turn, the new tripods can be set up quickly, easily, and securely. Alternatively, the tripods can be fitted with various spike feet. Flexible holding arms can be attached to the base via a 3/8" thread.
