The Hobbes LANIDgiga is a highly efficient testing device designed to quickly and reliably determine the network status and display it via LED indicators. It allows for targeted diagnosis of existing network issues during the installation or maintenance of LAN devices or ports. The device differentiates the network status as follows: 1000 BASE-T full duplex, 10/100 auto negotiation, 100 BASE-Tx full duplex, 100 BASE-Tx half duplex, 10 BASE-T full duplex, and 10 BASE-T half duplex. The integrated PoE function identifies existing PoE and the type of PSE (power sourcing equipment) throughout the network. The Hobbes LANIDgiga is equipped with a port finder function, helping to determine the corresponding port of the workstation: simply connect the Hobbes LANIDgiga to an unknown or uncertain port, and it will send a 10/100 (auto-negotiation) signal to locate the switch and the port. Features: Checks the PoE status, identifies the type of PSE if the PoE voltage on the wire pair is detected at 12-36 (Endspan) or 45-78 (Midspan). Identifies the bandwidth of the port up to Gigabit Ethernet.
