Light rays reflected from a surface are polarized, and using polarizing filters, you can select which light rays enter your camera lens. They allow you to eliminate unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water, glass, and more. Additionally, colors can be represented with greater saturation and clarity, resulting in better contrast. This effect is often used to enhance contrast and saturation in blue skies and white clouds. Hoya's polarizing filters do not affect the overall color balance of a shot.
