2.5" format hard drives are becoming increasingly popular. Their storage capacity is growing, making them suitable for use in servers. Therefore, ICY BOX now offers a backplane that fits into a 5.25" unit and accommodates four 2.5" SATA or SAS hard drives. The height of the hard drives can reach 15 mm for maximum storage capacity.

This ICY BOX operates extremely stable even under very high data throughput. Therefore, we particularly recommend it for demanding applications in RAID systems. The temperature control is correspondingly elaborate. The aluminum housing provides cooling, and the two 40 mm fans operate reliably and quietly. Everything is as solid and secure as one would expect from the proven ICY BOX backplanes for "the big ones."
