The Kenko Filter Kit includes: a protection filter, a circular polarizer filter, a neutral density (ND8) 0.9 filter, and a filter pouch. Protection filters serve as a permanent lens safeguard. They do not affect the color balance or performance of your lenses in the slightest. Clear filters protect your valued lenses from costly damage to the front element due to dirt, impacts, or scratches during regular use. Sunlight is naturally partially polarized as it is reflected by electrons in air molecules, causing the light to scatter into what appears as haze. A polarizing filter aligns and filters this directionally polarized light perpendicular to the reflected light, allowing a significant portion of this light to be absorbed. This results in a noticeable reduction of glare and reflections from non-metallic surfaces and an increase in the saturation of the sky and foliage. ND8 filter: A neutral density filter has multiple applications and provides the ability to achieve otherwise unattainable results. ND filters appear gray and reduce the amount of light hitting the film. They have no effect on color balance. This filter offers a filter factor of 0.9, which corresponds to 3 stops of light.
