The cable protection pipe seal is suitable for an internal pipe diameter of 75 to 120 mm. The system consists of a sealing sleeve and a sealing star. It is a flexible plastic laminate bag coated on both sides with sealing mass strips. The waterproof sealing of power cables occurs in plastic pipes, metal pipes, and cement pipes, as well as in core drillings. A patented gel valve prevents pressure losses and ensures the permanent tightness of the system. Disassembly is straightforward. A round, smooth-walled inner surface is required. When used in installation pipes, a pressure resistance of at least 3 bar must be observed. The waterproofness has been tested under a pressure of 0.3 bar with cable loads subjected to vibration, bending, torsion, tension, and thrust. Additionally, chemical and bacterial resistance has been tested. In accordance with VDE 0278 Part 1, load change tests were conducted with conductor temperatures of up to 90 °C. By measuring and calculating the diffusion rate, an average lifespan of 30 years was determined.
