Lee 105 mm circular polarizing filters are high-quality glass filters that can neutralize but also enhance the electromagnetic waves of various surfaces. It is possible to use polarizing filters to make the sky appear a more intense blue or to make colors look more vibrant. Reflections can also be reduced or eliminated depending on the position of the filter. The filter is used together with the 105 mm polarizer adapter ring LE105AR, which can be attached to and rotated on the lens to increase or decrease the effect. For digital cameras, only circular filters are recommended, while analog cameras can also use linear filters.

Polarizing filters have a polarizing film sandwiched between protective glass plates in a rotating frame, allowing only light that vibrates in one plane to pass through. Depending on the filter's rotation, polarized light can be completely, partially, or not at all transmitted.

The polarizing filter is primarily recommended for studio use or when graduated filters are not required.
