The MVH500A, a successor to the 701HDV, comes with a 60 mm half bowl. The 500 head is particularly quick and secure to use due to its side locking mechanism: simply snap the camera with the quick-release plate into the head from the side, and it is firmly and securely in place without any additional tightening required. The side locking also allows for faster and safer removal of the camera from the head than usual. The 500 head features a preset counterbalance of 2.4 kg and a load capacity of 5 kg.
