Product details
The first full-frame lens from Meike is ideally suited for use with cine cameras. High resolution, low dispersion, and a high refractive index are the main features of this prime lens. Additionally, you will experience minimal focus breathing, meaning that the framing does not change during focusing. The bright aperture allows for shooting in challenging lighting conditions and provides excellent control over depth of field. This characteristic also enables the creation of a silky smooth, circular bokeh. You will enjoy results with low distortion. A multi-layer coating effectively reduces stray light and ghosting, while also enhancing contrast and color accuracy.
This lens has a fixed focal length that cannot be changed. Prime lenses offer a high light intensity, allowing you to capture good images even in less than optimal lighting conditions. They are particularly suitable for capturing specific and distinctive compositions. Thanks to the large possible aperture, a shallower depth of field can be achieved, allowing you to effectively isolate subjects from the background using selective sharpness and blur.
This lens can only be focused manually. Although manual focusing takes longer and is more demanding than working with autofocus, it offers several advantages: It allows you to precisely focus on the point you desire, enabling shots that align exactly with your vision. In situations where autofocus would struggle—such as in low light, on smooth surfaces with little texture, or in foggy weather—you will prefer to focus manually.
