The OSTD2NBE is made of stainless steel and can be played by anyone, whether a teacher, sound therapist, or simply a music lover. The tongue drum has a diameter of 15.7 inches (40 cm). It can be played with mallets or just with fingers.

The tongue drum is tuned to the key of D Amara, which has a mystical and dreamy sound. The fundamental tone D3 in the center is surrounded by the 8 additional tones A3, C4, D4, E4, F4, G4, A4, C5. There is a sound hole on the bottom that can be sealed with a silicone plug, creating a very compact sound. When the sound hole is open, it produces a long-lasting resonance. Additionally, there are three silicone feet on the bottom that provide stability and prevent the tongue drum from slipping.

A high-quality nylon bag for transport and two rubber mallets are included.
