The Metz Connect DIN Rail Module Cat.6A TN E-DATmod-REGplus is a connection unit designed for mounting on TH35 DIN rails according to DIN EN 60715 in electrical distribution boards for residential and industrial installations. It is equipped with an E-DAT RJ45 single module, with cable access at a 45° angle from above and a downward plug direction tilted at 45°.

The module is GHMT Cat.6 de-embedded PVP certified and meets Class EA according to ISO/IEC 11801 Ed.2.2:2011-06 as well as DIN EN 50173-1:2011-09 tested. It supports links up to 500 MHz for 10 GBit Ethernet (IEEE 802.3an) and is suitable for Power over Ethernet (PoE, PoE plus, and UPoE).

The user-friendly connection of 2- to 4-pair data cables AWG 26/1 - 22/1 and stranded conductors with 7-wire Cu stranded wire AWG 26/7 is made to BTR 8-way IDC cutting terminals. The wiring can be either T568A or T568B. Inserting the wire pairs into the E-DAT module loading piece is easy and quick.

The module's width of 1TE allows for the installation of up to 12 REGplus in standard electrical distribution boards. When installed as a device of protection class I, the potential equalization is achieved through an integrated potential equalization plate directly over the DIN rail, which must be connected to the building's potential equalization via appropriate contact terminals.

The module is protected from direct contact by a cover. When mounted in protective insulated distribution boards, the protection class II remains, and the potential equalization spring must be removed for this. An integrated dust protection flap is also included (available in various colors).
