Das Modell von Nikon ist ein solides, das eine gute Abbildungsleistung besitzt ohne dabei allerdings top Ergebnisse liefern zu können. Besonders bei der Anfangsöffnung zeigen sich deutliche Schwächen des Objektivs, das mit Vignettierung zu kämpfen hat. Auch ein Bildstabilisator fehlt im Programm, wobei allerdings der Lieferumfang mit Beutel sowie gute Verarbeitung das gute Gesamtergebnis rechtfertigen.
Optisch ist das Nikon nicht vollends überzeugen, wobei man dies vielleicht auch auf das Alter schieben kann. Auf der anderen Seite besitzt das Objektiv jedoch eine hervorragende Ausstattung und ebenso stimmt die hochwertige Verarbeitung.
In der Gesamtbetrachtung kann man das Nikon Objektiv absolut empfehlen, wobei es sich hier vor allem aufgrund seiner Flexibilität auszeichnet. Das Objektiv lässt sich nicht nur als Makro verwenden, sondern kann auch bei Porträts-Shootings ohne weiteres eingesetzt werden.
