Unleash your creativity with the powerful f/2.8 DX zoom lens. A lens that offers excellent low-light performance, beautiful bokeh and a high speed that lets you freeze every movement. Whether it's photos or videos - you have endless scope.

Continuous f/2.8 aperture: Capture more detail at lower ISOs with f/2.8 and freeze motion with faster shutter speeds, even when the light gets weaker.

Versatile zoom range: The focal length range of 16 to 50 mm (equivalent to 24 to 75 mm in 35mm/FX format) is great for portraits, landscapes, street scenes, architecture and much more.

Wonderful bokeh, crystal clear scenes: Powerful image processing ensures even bokeh in the background and foreground at f/2.8. Or increase the depth of field with a smaller aperture to achieve razor-sharp shots from front to back.
from front to back.

Sharp close-ups: The closest focusing distance is just 15 cm at 16 mm and 25 cm at 50 mm. You can get very close to a subject without sacrificing sharpness.

Powerful image stabiliser with movable lens group: The integrated image stabilisation of up to 5 f-stops1 ensures sharper freehand shots and clearer video recordings even in low light.

Made for video: The autofocus is fast and pleasantly quiet. Video settings can be made conveniently using the silent setting ring. Focus breathing is reduced so that even focus changes are possible.

Agile creative partner: This fast DX zoom lens weighs only approx. 330 g and has a dust and dripping water-resistant design.

Bayonet lens mount

A lens mount is an interface — mechanical and often also electrical — between a photographic camera body and a lens. It is confined to cameras where the body allows interchangeable lenses, most usually the single lens reflex type or any movie camera of 16 mm or higher gauge. Lens mounts are also used to connect optical components in instrumentation that may not involve a camera, such as the modular components used in optical laboratory prototyping which join via C-mount or T-mount elements.
