The Nux Tape Echo is inspired by the legendary RE-201 and offers 7 sound head combinations that provide everything from short slap echoes to long echo repetitions with a delay time of up to 1600 ms. A 2-band equalizer with bass and treble is available for sound shaping. Through the USB port, the free editor software can be used with the Nux Tape Echo, allowing for even more programmable parameters.

The select knob allows for controlling parameters such as saturation, WOW, and flutter, as well as the kill dry function. The typical popular tape echo sound is authentically recreated through saturation and WOW and flutter. Tempo input can be done via tap tempo or through the time knob, indicated in BPM or milliseconds.

Included is a 40-second looper and a reverb effect that complements the tape echo effectively. The operating mode, which can be switched between looper and echo, is displayed on an OLED screen. The Nux Tape Echo offers stereo output options as well as the ability to connect an expression pedal (not included) that can control the repeat or level parameters. The device can be controlled via MIDI through the 3.5 mm MIDI TRS jacks.
