Fifteen-year-old Emily has been suffering from a personality disorder for over a year. Almost daily, she sits in her room trying to resist the urge to cut herself. On other days, she prays to God to just take her away. Then comes the weekend when she can choose whether to spend the days with her brother at a riding stable or stay in the therapy group. Emily chooses the riding stable, where she finally sees her opportunity to end her life. However, there she meets Chrissi, the owner's son, and suddenly everything changes. What starts as an acquaintance turns into first love, and in response to her desire to live, there is death. Chrissi suffers from a severe form of leukemia.
