The LUMIX G9 delivers a very fast burst shooting capability at 20 frames per second (AFC) and 60 frames per second (AFS) in full 20.3-megapixel resolution. In addition to standard continuous shooting, the 6K/4K photo functions are available when needed.

With an exceptionally strong magnification of approximately 1.66x / 0.83x (35mm equivalent), the LUMIX G9 also features a very large viewfinder. The viewfinder image operates without dark phases during high-speed continuous shooting. A night mode and an AF point magnification function are also integrated.

For the first time in a LUMIX camera, a large, backlit status display is integrated on the top of the body for quicker camera control and easy adaptation for DSLR users. Image control on the back of the camera is provided through a tiltable and rotatable 7.5 cm LCD monitor with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a high resolution of 1.04 million pixels. To store images, the LUMIX G9 is equipped with a dual SD card slot for fast UHS-II cards.

To deliver good results even under the harshest shooting conditions, the front and rear frames of the LUMIX G9's body are made of magnesium alloy. Additionally, the G9 features a dust- and splash-proof construction and is frost-resistant down to -10ºC.

Thanks to USB charging capability, the camera is also independent of a fixed power supply. The LUMIX G9 offers Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity for convenient wireless camera remote control and instant image sharing. Compatibility with Bluetooth 4.2, also known as BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy), allows for a constant connection with a smartphone or tablet with minimal power consumption. For WiFi, in addition to the conventional 2.4GHz, 5GHz can also be selected for an even more secure and stable connection.
