The Pearl Ian Paice Signature Snare Drum features a chrome-plated 14 x 6.5 inch SensiTone steel shell, stainless steel tension rods, and SuperHoop II 2.3 mm hoops. The steel shell of this snare provides the timeless rock sound that has impressed generations of drummers, thanks to Ian Paice (Deep Purple). Lock nuts, which are counter nuts for the tuning screws, prevent unwanted detuning and, along with the internal dampener, make the drum the perfect live snare. To maintain tension even under heavy use, Stop-Locks have been added to each tension rod and the chrome-plated brass tube plugs. Ian's snare also utilizes the classic internal muffler to achieve its essential and versatile sound.
