The Star series is designed not only to meet the current demands of digital photography but also to be prepared for future generations. Like all lenses in this series, the 11-18 mm ultra-wide-angle zoom lens delivers high-resolution and high-contrast images without blurriness all the way to the edges of the frame, ensuring excellent imaging performance even at wide open apertures.

With the introduction of this lens, the high-quality and powerful Star series now offers compact lenses with a minimum aperture of F2.8, ranging from ultra-wide-angle to telephoto, for PENTAX digital cameras.

As with all lenses in this series, special attention has been paid to usability under adverse conditions. The lens is not only equipped with seals to prevent the ingress of moisture or dust but also features preparation for the use of a dew cap heater, significantly improving the usability of the lens when photographing landscapes and starry skies.
