The writer Isolde Kurz was born in 1853 in Stuttgart. Due to her parents' free-spirited lifestyle and educational approach, Isolde Kurz experienced a carefree and liberated childhood alongside her brothers. After her father's death, she moved to Munich in 1873 and earned her living for a time through translations and language teaching. The present book "Phantasies and Fairy Tales," which includes various works such as "Hashish," "The Borrowed Halo," "Star Fairy Tales," "The Golden Dreams," "King Felt," and "About the Firefly Who Did Not Want to Become a Human," was first published in 1890. Isolde Kurz passed away in 1944 in Tübingen. This is a revised reprint of the original edition from 1890.
