This 4GB RAM is 100% compatible with HP ProLiant DL580 R07. Information regarding memory configuration: The following technical specifications should be considered in advance: The memory slots are organized in groups of four. It is not recommended to configure with fewer than 4 memory modules. Optimal performance is achieved when using 8 or 16 identical memory modules per CPU. The memory should be installed across two memory boards per CPU. The memory should be identical per CPU (mirrored to the other CPU). A higher memory clock speed of the memory module will automatically adjust to the memory clock speed set by the system. This can especially be the case with larger capacities. Memory slots without a processor present must not be populated. ECC DIMM (with Error-Correction-Code) or RDIMM (Registered DIMM) RAM can be installed in the device. RDIMM memory is recommended when large memory capacities are required. The different memory technologies (ECC / RDIMM) must not be mixed. If a memory upgrade is to be performed with the already existing RAM, it must be checked which memory technology (ECC / RDIMM) is present.
