Product details
Polymaker Polycast The PolyCast filament has been specifically developed for the production of investment casting materials. This specialized filament opens up entirely new possibilities in the metal industry. By using the PolyCast filament in combination with a 3D printer, complex geometries in metal can now be manufactured, which were previously impossible with conventional tools. Another advantage is the associated savings in time and money. The production of tools typically takes a long time and incurs significant costs. The use of a 3D printer can also eliminate this process.
Thanks to the high quality of the PolyCast filament, there are no residues during the investment casting process, preventing damage to the metal part. The PolyCast filament completely dissolves at temperatures over 600 °C, leaving a clean casting mold. To achieve an optimal surface structure, it is recommended to use the Polysher from Polymaker, which smooths the entire component after the printing process.
Advantages of the PolyCast filament:
- Easy to print (comparable to PLA)
- Fast production of metal parts
- Residue-free burnout for investment casting
