It is possible to synchronise the watch with an iPad via the Garmin Connect application, but the watch must be paired directly in the Garmin Connect application, not via the iPad's Bluetooth settings. However, some users are having trouble getting the watch to recognise them on the iPad, even though it is paired with an iPhone. This may be because the Garmin Connect application on iPad does not always detect devices already paired to an iPhone, as the device's data is linked to the Garmin account but not always synchronised between multiple iOS devices such as the iPhone and iPad. To try and synchronise the watch with the iPad, you need to : - Install and open the Garmin Connect application on the iPad. - Bring the watch within range (less than 10 metres). - Turn on the watch and set it to pairing mode (automatically on first start-up or manually using the UP button). - In the Garmin Connect application on the iPad, add the watch by following the instructions on the screen. If the watch is already paired with an iPhone, it may be necessary to unpair it from the iPhone before connecting it to the iPad, or to check that the Garmin account used is the same on both devices. Note that data synchronisation between iPhone and iPad via Garmin Connect does not always work smoothly, which may explain why the watch does not appear on the iPad even though it is connected to the iPhone. In short, synchronisation is possible but sometimes limited or complicated between iPhone and iPad with this watch.

The back of the housing is made of plastic. Since you are allergic, you should make sure that you do not have a reaction to plastic. If you are concerned, it may be helpful to consult a doctor or dermatologist to make sure you are not allergic to the material.

Yes, heart rate measurement on the wrist can be deactivated. - Press and hold the UP button or the menu symbol on the display. - Select "Fitness" > "Wrist heart rate" > "Status" > "Off". Please note that deactivating the heart rate measurement also deactivates the sensor for measuring the pulse oximeter on the wrist.

Yes, the Garmin Forerunner 55 has a sleep recording and analysis function. The watch can track and analyse the duration and phases of sleep, including light, deep and REM sleep. This data is then displayed in the Garmin Connect app and can be further analysed there.

No, the watch itself does not have internet and therefore has no access to Spotify. The watch is also only a "slave" and not a "master", i.e. it can only be connected to the phone but no other devices can be connected to the watch.

Hello Paula, I was Polar user form many years, but when I needed more accurate and faster GPS I switched to Garmin. A have two models Fenix 5 and Forerunner 55. The newer Forerunner have little bit more accurate GPS and built in hearth beat sensor. Sensors for bike are better from Polar not because of accuracy but the way how you can fix them. So for walking I would sill recommend Garmin. Even the not so expensive one. I would suggest also to try how they fit on your wrist as they have different sizes. You can use also the Forerunner 55 as I have. The only problem I have with this model is that the battery in mine doesn't last long and sometimes I deplete the battery completely, which leads to that I have to switch on the running program just to connect to GPS nad get correct time again.
